How Ratios Work

Espresso uses ratios like 1:2, meaning for every 1g of coffee, you get 2g of liquid out.

Filter uses higher ratios like 1:16. For 30g of coffee, you'd use 480ml of water.

Lower ratios = stronger, more concentrated. Higher ratios = lighter, more diluted.
