We started Coffeeble because most coffee equipment reviews are just reformatted marketing copy. "Rich, bold flavor." "Barista-quality results." What does that mean? Nothing.
We wanted numbers. Temperature curves. Grind distribution charts. So we built the site we couldn't find anywhere else.
What We Do
We test coffee equipment. Grinders, espresso machines, drip brewers, pour-over gear. If it makes coffee, we've probably taken it apart. Our reviews focus on measurable performance:
- Grinders: Particle size distribution, retention, workflow
- Espresso machines: Temperature stability, pressure profiling, steam power
- Drip brewers: Water temperature, contact time, extraction uniformity
We also publish guides for people trying to improve their home brewing. Clear explanations of what matters and what doesn't. No gatekeeping.
Our Approach
Most of what we test, we bought with our own money. When a manufacturer sends a loaner unit, we say so upfront. The testing protocol doesn't change. We've panned plenty of free review units.
Every article has a byline with a real name. No "Staff Writer" anonymity. If we screw up, you know exactly who to yell at.
We earn commissions when you buy through our links. That's how the site pays for itself. But we've killed recommendations before when products didn't meet our bar. We'd rather tell you to save your money than waste it. Full details in our Affiliate Disclosure.
The Team
Coffeeble is run by coffee obsessives who've spent too much money on equipment and too many hours dialing in shots. Our contributors include home baristas, former café professionals, and engineers who appreciate a well-designed machine.
We're based in various locations but united by a shared belief: good coffee shouldn't require guesswork, and good reviews shouldn't require a decoder ring.
