How we test, write, and earn your trust.

We test coffee equipment. We measure it. We break it down to its components and tell you what's worth your money. Every recommendation we make comes from hands-on testing in our lab and real kitchens.

If you spot an error or disagree with a conclusion, tell us: contact@coffeeble.com

We test everything ourselves

We don't rewrite press releases. We don't aggregate Amazon reviews. We buy or borrow equipment, run it through our testing protocols, and report what we find.

For grinders, that means particle distribution analysis. For espresso machines, temperature stability under extraction. For drip brewers, contact time and slurry temperature curves.

When we say "we tested," we mean someone on our team physically used the product. Multiple times. Over weeks or months.

How we verify claims

Manufacturers make bold claims. We check them.

  • Performance specs get measured against our own benchmarks
  • Build quality gets assessed through teardowns and long-term use
  • Price claims get verified across multiple retailers

When we cite research or industry data, we link to primary sources. If we can't verify something, we say so.

Our writers have skin in the game

Every article has a named author. Not "Staff Writer." Not "Admin." A real person who stands behind the work.

Our contributors are coffee professionals, engineers, and long-time enthusiasts. They've pulled thousands of shots, dialed in hundreds of grinders, and broken more than a few machines learning what matters.

If someone lacks direct experience with a topic, they don't write about it.

Affiliate links and sponsorships

We earn money through affiliate links. When you buy through our links, we get a commission. This never changes our recommendations.

Here's the deal: we'd rather recommend nothing than recommend something bad. A single misleading review destroys more trust than a hundred good ones build. The math doesn't work.

Sponsored content gets labeled. Always. If a brand paid for placement, you'll know before you read a word.

Corrections and updates

We make mistakes. When we do, we fix them publicly.

  • Minor fixes (typos, broken links) happen silently
  • Factual corrections get noted at the top of the article
  • Major revisions include a full changelog

Every article shows when it was last updated. Old content gets reviewed and refreshed as products change and new data comes in.

What we won't do

  • Recommend products we haven't tested
  • Hide affiliate relationships
  • Let advertisers influence editorial content
  • Publish anonymous reviews
  • Make claims we can't back up
